Air beds
A person shopping for air beds should remember that although price is important, comfort trumps all other things. For example, a person could sleep on the floor for free, so price is not that important. By trying to get a comfortable bed, a person can put their money to good use.
Some of the features to look for in a bed like this include:
o Raised - The beds that are raised are best for use when a person has visitors in the home. These beds are high enough and firm enough for a guest to be able to comfortably use, however, they are still much less expensive than a new mattress.
o Memory foam - Memory foam is another great feature for these kinds of beds. By putting the memory foam on top of the mattress, a person is able to get the firmness from a bed that he or she is looking for. Likewise, this foam helps a person settle in to a certain position that is comfortable and feel "hugged" by the foam.
o Built in pump - While any pump will do the job, a person who has a built-in pump is more likely to be able to blow up the bed quickly because he will not need to search for the pump each time he or she wants to use the bed. Built-in pumps also tend to react more quickly than regular pumps do.
o Remote control - If there is a built-in pump, sometimes a remote can be used to start the inflation process. Air beds with remotes can be nice, but are not really needed or missed when they are not available.
o Size - Beds that are used for guests are typically made to be smaller and for some less accommodating. When buying a mattress for guests, it may be better to anticipate needing it for more people rather than less. For example, a father, mother and small child could all fit into one king bed. Even though an inflatable king bed might cost more, the fact is that these beds are certainly more accommodating.
o Warranties - A person looking into purchasing a bed with an inflatable mattress will certainly want to look into making sure there is some kind of a warranty with the purchase. Often if these beds are purchased at a large retailer, a person can return the bed within a few weeks and get his or her money back. However, a person who buys one of these beds might want to look for a warranty of at least a year.
A person who looks for these features will likely be pleasantly surprised that none of these features are particularly hard to find. However, the difficulty could be in trying to find a bed that includes each of these features. If there is a problem finding a bed that includes each of these features, perhaps it would be best to make a list that prioritizes the features that a person wants to find.
By having a priority list for air beds, a person can be sure that he or she is finding the features that are most important to him or her before the purchase is made.
